My Student Likes To Make Faces

While I was in Korea, I had the opportunity to tutor my landlord's youngest daughter, Melody. I had emailed her in February but didn't hear back from her until today. Her email was quite amusing to read and it's great to see that she can form sentences now ^^ See for yourself!

Do you like it? WHAT EVER!!!!!!!!!!

I really like MY SCHOOL!!!!!!

BYE AND I need your ansower^0^

I'm glad she's enjoying school! She and her sister, Emily are so, so cute~ Recently, Emily has been spazzing about SHINee to me. I laugh because I'm like a decade older than she is XD Aww I miss them!

My Laptop Has A Name

His name is JongHyun and yes, I named him in honour of my mother's favourite SHINee member. It happened a few hours ago when he protested yet again by continuously lagging, begging me to give him a break. Although there were many occasions when I'd become frustrated with him, I have to thank him for teaching me another lesson in the patience department.

Speaking of JongHyun...

He (the real one) sounds even more awesome live! On May 9, Beky, Resa and I attended the 7th Annual Korea Times Music Festival at Hollywood Bowl in LA. We even made signs for SHINee (and SS501) but unfortunately, they only sang 2 songs, Noona You're So Pretty (Replay) and A.Mi.Go. so their time on stage was too short. SS501, on the other hand, were the last group on stage so KyuJong and Magnae (HyungJoon) saw our sign :D Magnae even waved to us four times! We got noticed by a cameraman when SS501 were performing so we might be in the DVD... If that happens, I hope I don't look too crazy. Son Ho Young really knew how to give fan service and SNSD were really pretty in person. The first half of the concert consisted of the middle-aged and older performers, which I did enjoy for the most part... Although I can't say I was very happy when some of them started their 5th or 6th song (Others only had 3!) Overall though, it was a great first concert experience. I'm definitely excited to see the list for next year!

Move Aside Dora, Kai-lan Is Here

You know Dora the Explorer? Well, a new girl is in town and her name is Kai-lan! My sister was randomly watching Treehouse when a Nick Jr. show called "Ni Hao, Kai-lan" came on. On a side note, I love how her name sounds like a vegetable! This is almost as amusing as Sagwa the Siamese Cat with her brother named Dongwa and sister, Sheegwa xD Anyway, I guess you could call Kai-lan the Chinese Dora but I think both Kai-lan and the show are definitely cuter! I mean c'mon, a koala that wants to be a panda? That is way cute! (As you may or may not know, I am obsessed with pandas xD) I should probably watch it to review as my sister has already learned several Mandarin phrases, LOL. Be sure to check out the show when you get the chance!

Just A Quick Update

I'm now in San Diego and enjoying the wonderful sunshine (jealous much? lol) I'm having a great time catching up with Beky and Resa - things really haven't changed ^^ So what have I done so far? Well, I had a chicken burrito at the popular Chipotle, then a green apple slushie at the infamous Tea N More and now I'm in the library waiting for Resa to finish class and will have to start on my readings in a bit. It's crazy but my summaries are due Sunday night so I'll have to skim like no other for the next few days :P Oh and by the way, thanks for all the texts and messages guys!
